Description
Background : COVID-19 is a large family of viruses that cause disease in
humans and animals. The importance of cultivating good handwashing with soap
to prevent the spread of COVID-19 can be done early on to children.
Purpose : This study aims to provide health education to families with hand
washing disobedience problems.
Subject : The case subjects studied were 2 families with children aged 9-12 years
in the SDN 17 Palembang area.
Method : The activity is providing health education with the method of leaflets,
lectures, demonstrations, questions and answers. The case study was conducted
with 3 home visits to provide nursing implementation from April 12 –April 14,
2021.
Result : The results showed that families 1 and 2 could understand the
information provided and improve hand washing compliance so as to minimize
the transmission of COVID-19. The suggestions that can be submitted can be used
as learning materials and reference materials in providing implementation
regarding the handling of COVID-19
