Description
Appendictomy is a surgical procedure to overcome appendicitis. But often
surgical procedures cause postoperative pain that disrupts daily activities both
physically and psychological, therefore the nurse has a big contribution in the
process of decreasing post operations with nonfarmacological methods, one of
which is a breathful relaxation technique and a warm compressing technique
besides the existence of a method Pharmacologists in the form of administration
of analgetic drugs. The design of this study was descriptive in the form of a case
study with a nursing process approach consisting of assessment, nursing
diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation. Samples
taken as many as 2 respondents with the nursing problem of acute pain post
appendictomy at the Bhayangkara Palembang Hospital in 2021. The
implementation carried out in the form of deep breathing techniques, warm
compressing and collaboration of analgetic drugs was obtained that the
implementation was effective in an effort to decrease acute pain by post
appendictomy. Seeing the results of this study, the need for nonfarmacological
methods in addition to the pharmacological method in an effort to decrease post
appendictomy pain.
