Description
Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder caused by the pancreas which is
unable to produce enough insulin or the resulting insulin production cannot be
used efectively by the body (Nooratri, 2019). Until now, the number of people
with diabetes mellitus in the world is increasing. The research design uses
descriptive method in the form of case studies. Cases were taken by two
respondents. The approach used is a nursing care approach that includes
assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. By
prioritizing nursing care in diabetes mellitus with tissue integrity problems by
monitoring wound characteristics, wound care, teaching wound care procedures
independently, from the three implementation, the results were obtained to
overcome tissue integrity disorders in DM patients and there were no gaps.
