ABSTRACT

Nursing Implementation Controlling Emotions with Assertive Trainning on Schizophrenic Clients with Violent Behavior Problems at Ernaldi Bahar Hospital, South Sumatra Province in 2021. Nursing Diploma III Program, Nursing Student of the Ministry of Health Polythenic Palembang. Advisor (I) : Sri Martini, S.Pd., S.Kp., M.Kes.Advisor (II) : Ns. Sri Endriyani,S.Kep.,M.Kes.
Background : Schizophrenia is a neurological disease that affects the brain where it can affect behavior change, self-perception, emotional changes, as well as affect behavior towards the environment. Violent behavior is a form of behavior that aims to injure oneself, others and the environment both physically and psychologically in the form of behavior and verbally.
Method : The type of research used is descriptive in the form of case studies to explore the implementation of nursing to control emotions by assertive training on schizophrenic clients with behavioral problems. Violence at Ernaldi Bahar Hospital, South Sumatra Province and as for the research subjects who will be studied are two patients, namely schizophrenic patients with violent behavior problems. The place of research is the Ernaldi Bahar mental hospital, South Sumatra Province.
Results : The results showed that the implementation of implementation strategy 3 in schizophrenic patients was that both patients had shown a significant reduction in the level of violent behavior.
Conclusion : It is hoped that how to control emotions with assertive trainning can be developed again and become learning for further research.
