Description
Warm compress is one of the effors to lower the themperature (hyperthermia) By giving compress on the body that has large blood vessels, especially under the axilla and thighs. This procedure uses the evaporation effect in lowering body themperature.
(WHO, 2016), States 3,3 Million people or half the world’s population, living in areas at risk of contracting malaria in log countries. 98% of the world’s malaria deaths come from 35 countries, data from 2014. 190-311 million suffered from malaria and 708.000-100.30000 deid. 89% deadasaresult.
This type of research in descriptive.With case study method. This study was conducted in may 2018. Done in room Puskesmas Padang Tepong city EmpatLawang.
The sample of this study was two malaria patients. The sample in this study were two children suffering from malaria.
The results of this study indicate the body themperature before the warm compress performrd on malaria patient the average body themperature of the patient is 38,9°C-39,2°C. while body themperature after warm compress in normal 35,9°C-37,4°C.
Based on the results of these studies warm compress can be used as an alternative to lower body thenperature. In can be concluded that warm compress affect in decreasing body themperature in malaria patient which can be continued as an intervention that can be done independently by malaria sufferers.
Health workers are expected to realize how important the application of warm compress in the decrease in body themperature in children suffering from malaria, is very effective to help in decreasing body themperature in children suffering from malaria.
