Description
Background: Pulmonary TB is a disease with high morbidity and is very easily spread in the air through sputum (saliva) that is thrown carelessly on the street by people with pulmonary TB. Therefore, pulmonary TB must be treated immediately and carefully if such cases are found in an area, the problem that often occurs in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis is ineffective airway clearance.
Objectives: Describe the implementation of effective cough technique in pulmonary tuberculosis patients with ineffective airway hygiene problems at Muhammadiyah Hospital Palembang 2023.
Methods: This study used descriptive in the form of a case study by conducting nursing care including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, evaluation by focusing implementation on the application of ineffective airway clearance problems in pulmonary tuberculosis patients and the research subjects to be studied were two pulmonary tuberculosis patients with ineffective airway hygiene problems
Conclusion: the results of the study show that the implementation of nursing in pulmonary tuberculosis patients with road clearance problems in patient 1 is partially resolved and patient 2 is resolved, and the application of effective cough is very effective given to patients who have an ineffective airway
