Nursing Implementation in Bronchial Asthma Patients with Ineffective Airway
Clearing Problems in the Cendana Room at Bhayangkara Hospital

Background: Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder in the airways, the basis
of this disease is bronchial hyperactivity and obstruction airway. Methods: The
type of research used is descriptive in the form of case studies with data collection
methods by means of interviews and physical examination. The research subjects
were two bronchial asthmatic patients with ineffective airway clearance problems
at Bhayangkara Hospital Palembang. The nursing implementation approach used
is effective coughing exercises. This study was conducted to compare two
respondents who had been given implementation for three days. Results: The
study showed that after three days of implementation the problem of ineffective
airway clearance experienced by the patient was resolved. Conclusion: In
overcoming ineffective airway clearance in bronchial asthma patients there is no
gap between theory and implementation in the field.
