Background : Sleep is a basic human need in order to have optimal body function. At the level of development or adult age, the normal sleep pattern needed is about 8 hours a day. But nowadays it is found that people with hypertension only sleep 2-3 hours a day. The purpose of this case study is to provide nursing care to hypertensive clients with sleep pattern problems at Muhammadiyah Hospital in Palembang.
Methods : The design of this case study is descriptive in the form of a case study with a nursing process approach consisting of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, evaluation and documentation. The case study subjects were 2 cases of Hypertension with nursing problems of sleep pattern disorders in Muhammadiyah Hospital Palembang in 2022. Data collection techniques were by means of observation, interviews and filling out research instruments for 3 days in the treatment room. The results of the assessment before being given therapy, the patient had disturbed sleep patterns and complained of difficulty sleeping.
Results : Relaxation therapy has an effective effect on reducing pain and blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Blood pressure decreased after relaxation therapy.
Conclusion : It is expected to be able to apply and develop the implementation of deep breathing relaxation techniques for Hypertensive patients with problems with fracture sleep patterns, they will feel relaxed, pain will be reduced and sleep patterns will be resolved.
