Background: This study aims to find out how the implementation of nursing in
Tuberculosis patients with Nutritional Deficit Problems at Muhammadiyah
Palembang Hospital in 2022. The implementation of nursing that can be done is
Nutritional Deficit: 1. Able to describe nutrition management, 2. Observation actions:
Identification of nutritional status (BMI: TB and BB), identification of calorie needs
and types of nutrients, and identification of weight monitors, 3. Therapeutic actions:
Oral hygiene before meals, facilitation determines dietary guidelines, provide foods
high in calories and high in protein, 4. Educational actions: the importance of diet,
benefits, programs needed.
Method: This research design uses descriptive methods with the presentation of case
studies through the approach of nursing care, namely assessment, nursing diagnosis,
nursing intervention, nursing implementation and nursing evaluation. Data collection
methods in the form of interviews, observations and documentation studies. In this
case study there are two types of data, namely subjective data and objective data.
Subjective data is analyzed based on what researchers find in clients. While objective
data is analyzed based on the results of physical examination then compared to
normal values
Results and Conclusions: After the implementation of the same nursing to both
patients for 3 days the conclusion obtained is that the nutritional intake in patients has
been sufficiently fulfilled and both patients showed an increase in consuming food so
that patients were able to overcome the problem of nutritional deficits.
