Background: patients Post sectio caesarea feel pain due to surgery on the
abdomen so that it stimulates the hormones histamine and prostaglandins that
cause pain. Pain management in post sectio caesarea with non-pharmacological
methods, one of which is lavender aromatherapy. Lavender aromatherapy
provides a relaxing effect so that patients can adapt to pain. The purpose of this
study was to reduce pain in post- SC patients.
Methods: The research design is descriptive in the form of a case study. The
subjects studied were 2 people with the same nursing cases and problems, namely
post SC patients with acute pain in the Siti Walidah room at Muhammadiyah
Hospital Palembang. This research was conducted on March 8-13, 2022.
Results: After implementing nursing, it was found that lavender aromatherapy
helped reduce post SC pain with a pain reduction response in patient 1 from a
scale of 5 to 2 and patient 2 from a scale of 6 to 2.
Conclusion: Plan Nursing care that has been compiled based on theory and
implementation has shown success in overcoming pain.
