Background: Pulmonary TB is a disease that is still a problem in the world
caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis, pulmonary TB can be
transmitted through airbon. The increasing cases of pulmonary TB have
become a problem, one of the problems that often arises is ineffective
airway clearance. This problem of ineffective airway clearance is caused by
the inability to clear secretions. These secretions will collect in the airways
which can cause blockage.
Objective: the purpose of writing this scientific paper is to get an overview
of the implementation of nursing in pulmonary TB patients with ineffective
airway clearance problems at Muhammadiyah Hospital in Palembang.

Subjects: the subject of the case study to be studied is two pulmonary
tuberculosis patients with ineffective airway clearance problems.
Methods: There were two patients studied, this study used descriptive
analytical methods in the form of case studies by carrying out nursing care
including assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and
evaluation by focusing on implementation of the problem of ineffective
airway clearance in pulmonary TB patients.
Conclusion: the results of the study showed that the implementation of
nursing in pulmonary tuberculosis patients with ineffective airway clearance
problems given to patients was able to overcome and reduce sputum in the
patient's airway.
