Febrile seizures are seizures that occur at temperatures above 38 caused by
extra cranial processes without a history of seizures without previous fever and
generally occur at the age of 6 months to 5 years. The cause is not known until
now, but seizures can be triggered due to fever when the body is infected, causing
hyperthermia problems. Nursing implementation for hyperthermia is
Hyperthermia Management, such as identifying the causes of hyperthermia,
monitoring body temperature, applying warm compresses, and providing bed rest
education. The research design used a descriptive method. The study subjects
were 2 pediatric patients who had cases of febrile seizures with hyperthermia
problems. This research is located in the Inpatient Room, 7th Floor of the Siti
Fatimah Regional Hospital, South Sumatra Province and was conducted on April
2, 2021. The research data were collected using a child assessment and physical
examination format. After tabulation, the existing data were analyzed in a
narrative way with the nursing care format. The results of the research obtained
after the implementation of An.A and An.N had reduced the hyperthermia
problem felt by both patients. From the results of this study, it is hoped that it can
add insight to the patient's parents.
