Description
Background: Autoimmune disease is when the body produces antibodies against
joint tissue and causes chronic inflammation and results in severe joint damage,
pain, and physical immobility.
Method: This research design uses descriptive method in the form of a case
study. Cases taken were 2 respondents, namely families with Rheumatoid
Arthritis sufferers who experienced pain in the work area of Puskesmas 23 Ilir
Palembang in 2021. The data of this study were taken with family nursing care
which included assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation,
evaluation, and documentation. By prioritizing pain problems in families with
rheumatoid arthritis ..
Results: The results showed that the family social support given by the family to
patients with rheumatoid arthritis was that the family was very enthusiastic about
understanding the information provided and applying rheumatic exercises to
clients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis with pain problems.
Conclusion: Seeing the results of this study, family social support is needed in
order to minimize the frequency of relapses experienced by sufferers of
rheumatoid arthritis.
