Background: Hypertension is a global public health problem that can occur in both developed and developing countries. Hypertension is also called the "silent killer" because in some cases it does not show any symptoms. Problems that often arise in hypertension, one of which is the lack of knowledge about lifestyle, medication adherence, and the risk of other complications. To overcome and prevent hypertension, it is necessary to have health education related to hypertension and to get support from the client's family.
Methods: The design of this study used a descriptive method. The case study subjects were taken as many as two respondents, namely families of hypertension sufferers with knowledge deficit problems in the work area of the Sako Palembang Health Center in 2021.
Results: The results showed that it can increase the knowledge of clients and families about handling and prevention related to hypertension that has been given through health education.
Conclusion: Seeing the results of this study, it is necessary to have social support from the family in order to minimize the frequency of recurrence of the disease experienced, namely hypertension. By being given health education, it can increase knowledge for sick family members and change behavior for the better.
