Description
Background: Hypertension is a condition when the systolic pressure value is higher than 140mmHg or the diastolic pressure value is higher than 90mmHg. Increased blood pressure from the arteries that are systemic alias lasts continuously for a long period of time.
Objective: To determine the effect of 30 minutes of walking exercise on blood pressure in the elderly with hypertension in the working area of the Talang Betutu Health Center Palembang in 2021.
Research Subjects: The subjects in this case study were two elderly clients with hypertension who were trained and untrained by meeting the inclusion criteria and exclusion. Case studies are carried out in the morning, every day for 2 weeks on 30 May 2021-14 April 2021.
Methods: The method used is descriptive in the form of a case study. The approach used is a family nursing care approach which includes assessment, nursing diagnoses, planning, implementation, evaluation.
Results: After implementing the same family nursing for 14 days on both clients, the conclusions obtained were that the client's knowledge of hypertension and 30 minutes of walking exercise increased on the effect of decreasing blood pressure in the elderly after 30 minutes of walking.
Conclusion: Looking at the results of this study, there is an effect of 30 minutes of walking exercise on reducing blood pressure in the elderly with hypertension.
