Osteoarthritis is also called degenerative joint disease. Osteoarthritis itself is a degenerative joint disease that causes inflammation of the joints due to friction between the bones of each other causing pain and restriction of movement in the joints. The general purpose of this study was able to implement nursing in Mrs. N's family and Mr. Z's family with pain problems in the working area of palembang independent health center in2021.
The research design used is descriptive in the form of a case study, the sample taken is 2 people with a medical diagnosis of osteoarthritis with pain problems in the work area of the Merdeka Palembang Health Center, on 5-9 April 2021.
The results of the research show that client 1 and client 2 can understand the information provided and apply ginger warm compresses and health education about osteoarthritis so that chronic pain is reduced.
The results of the study showed that the family social support that many families gave to people with osteoarthritis seemed very enthusiastic about the education provided. Looking at the results of the study, it is necessary to have family social support in order to minimize the frequency of recurrence experienced by people withosteoarthritis.
