Gastroenteritis, Implementation, Nursing, Fluid Requirements and Electrolyte.

Background : Gastroenteritis is the second cause death of the child. Gastroenteritis can causing a problems about hypovolemia nursing or lack of fluid volume which is if its not treated immediately it will cause complications. To overcome dehydration, it is necessary to give oral rehydration by giving ORS. Method : The design of this research is descriptive in the form of case studies. The subjects in this study were 2 Gastroentritis patients with hypovolemis nursing problems. The result : The resut of the case studies show that there is a reduction in signs of hypovolemia, p.p. A with moderate dehydration, the frequency of defecation is >6x a day and p.p Y with moderate dehydration, the frequency ± 10x a day, along with throw up ± 7x a day, and for three days implementation given succesively, so the frequncy of defecate goes down proven by p.p. A that the frequency of defecate is just twice a day without dehydration and p.p Y frequncy of defecate is once or twice a day without dehydration. Conclusion : Seeing the results of this study, it is necessary to do nursing care including assessing the signs and symptoms of hypovolomia by looking at the level of dehydration. Monitoring the intake and output, and provide the oral intake specifically ORS.
