Description
Contact dermatitis is an acute or chronic inflammatory reaction of a substance in contact with the skin. In fish traders the emergence of contact dermatitis is because every day contact with fish and hands are often immersed in water, causing disturbances in skin integrity. To overcome nursing problems caused by contact dermatitis, it is necessary to implement nursing in the form of giving olive oil, health education about the use of personal protective equipment and health education about personal hygiene.
This research design uses descriptive method in the form of case studies. Cases taken were 2 respondents, namely fish traders with contact dermatitis who experienced skin integrity disorders in the working area of Puskesmas Merdeka Palembang in March-April 2021. The data of this study were collected using a family nursing care assessment format, observation, interviews.
The results showed that nursing care for skin integrity disorders can improve the skin integrity of client 1 and client 2. As well as providing health education which is expected to increase client and family knowledge about the use of personal protective equipment and the importance of personal hygiene.
Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to have family social support in order to minimize the severe complications experienced by people with contact dermatitis.
