Antosianin adalah zat warna yang berperan dalam memberikan warna merah, biru serta ungu dan berpotensi menjadi pewarna alami untuk menjadi bahan disclosing. Bahan disclosing yang sering digunakan dalam keadaan sehari-hari adalah bahan kimiawi yang mengandung eritrosin. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui gambaran pasta bunga telang (Clitoria Ternatea) pada pewarnaan plak gigi sebagai bahan disclosing. Metode: yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen. Dengan jumlah sampel 32 orang mahasiswa TK I Jurusan Kesehatan Gigi Poltekkes Kemenkes Palembang. Hasil : Menunjukkan untuk kategori warna bunga telang (Clitoria Ternatea) dapat mewarnai dan melekat pada plak dengan satu warna yaitu ungu sedangkan tri plaque gel dapat mewarnai dengan tiga warna yaitu pink,biru dan ungu. Untuk kelarutan baik bahan uji disclosing pada bunga telang (Clitoria Ternatea) dan tri plaque gel memiliki hasil yang sama dalam yaitu larutan dalam plak. Bunga telang (Clitoria Ternatea) tidak mengiritasi mukosa mulut dan gingiva serta memiliki kelebihan dibandingkan dengan tri plaque gel yaitu dari segi rasa yang memiliki rasa agak manis serta di sukai responden. Kesimpulan : Berdasarkan karakteristik bahan disclosing bunga telang (Clitoria Ternatea) dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan disclosing.
