Tuberkulosis merupakan penyebab utama monositosis. Monositosis atau peningkatan jumlah monosit dianggap sebagai petanda aktifnya penyebaran tuberkulosis. Pengobatan kasus tuberkulosis merupakan salah satu strategi utama pengendalian tuberkulosis karena dapat memutus rantai penularan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran jumlah monosit pada pasien tuberkulosis paru yang mendapat terapi obat anti tuberkulosis (OAT) di RS Khusus Paru Provinsi Sumatera Selatan tahun 2019 berdasarkan jenis kelamin, usia dan lama pengobatan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskiriptif observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 43 pasien dan ditentukan dengan teknik accidental sampling. Pemeriksaan hitung jumlah monosit menggunakan metode otomatik dengan alat hematology analyzer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah monosit ditemukan 48,8% normal dan 51,2% mengalami monositosis. Pada pasien dengan jenis kelamin laki-laki ditemukan 45,2% normal dan 54,8% mengalami monositosis. Pada pasien dengan jenis kelamin perempuan ditemukan 58,3% normal dan 41,7% mengalami monositosis. Pada pasien dengan usia berisiko ditemukan 55,2% normal dan 44,8% mengalami monositosis. Pada pasien dengan usia tidak berisiko ditemukan 35,7% normal dan 64,3% mengalami monositosis. Pada pasien dengan pengobatan fase intensif ditemukan 50,0% normal dan 50,0% mengalami monositosis. Pada pasien dengan pengobatan fase lanjutan ditemukan 48,1% normal dan 51,9% mengalami monositosis. Dengan demikian diharapkan pasien tuberkulosis paru yang mendapatkan terapi Obat Anti Tuberkulosis untuk mengonsumsi obat anti tuberkulosis secara teratur. Dalam pengobatannya, pasien tuberkulosis paru harus mengkonsumsi obat anti tuberkulosis (OAT). OAT jenis Rifampisin, Isoniazid dan Pirazinamid dapat menyebabkan efek hepatotoksik yang diawali dengan tanda hiperbilirubinemia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan status gizi, umur, lama pengobatan dan jenis kelamin terhadap kadar bilirubin total pada pasien tuberkulosis paru yang mendapat terapi OAT di RS Khusus Paru Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Penelitian ini besifat analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel pemeriksaan yang digunakan adalah serum yang didapat dari 43 pasien tuberkulosis paru. Metode pemeriksaan bilirubin total menggunakan modifikasi Jendrassik/Grof. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 6 orang (14,0%) pasien tuberkulosis paru dengan kadar bilirubin total meningkat dan sebanyak 37 orang (86,0%) dengan kadar bilirubin total normal. Dari 6 orang dengan kadar bilirubin total meningkat, berdasarkan umur ada 2 orang (100,0%) dengan umur risiko (>65 tahun) dan 4 orang (9,8%) dengan umur tidak risiko (≤65 tahun); berdasarkan lama pengobatan ada 6 orang (85,7%) dengan pengobatan tahap intensif; berdasarkan jenis kelamin ada 6 orang (20,0%) dengan jenis kelamin laki-laki. Sedangkan berdasarkan hasil uji statistik disimpulkan tidak ada hubungan kadar bilirubin total pasien tuberkulosid paru dengan status gizi (p value = 0,193). Dengan demikian, disarankan bagi pasien tuberkulosis paru yang mendapat terapi OAT untuk menjaga dan menerapkan pola makan teratur yang bergizi serta mengurangi kebiasaan buruk yang dapat meningkatkan risiko hapatotoksik.
