DENGAN VARIASI KONSENTRASI CARBOPOL 940 SEBAGAI GELLING AGENT Description An account of the resource ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Gel merupakan salah satu bentuk sediaan yang bisa digunakan untuk mengobati jerawat. Basis gel yang biasa digunakan adalah carbopol 940 karena dengan konsentrasi kecil yaitu 0,5%-2% dapat menghasilkan gel yang jernih dengan viskositas tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi carbopol 940 yang optimal untuk menghasilkan gel yang stabil dan memenuhi persyaratan. Gel yang dibuat menggunakan zat aktif daun jeringau hijau (Acorus calamus L.) dengan kandungan senyawa aktif flavonoid dan saponin. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental, dengan esktrak daun jeringau hijau (Acorus calamus L.) sebanyak 3,6% sebagai zat aktif dan memvariasikan carbopol 940 sebagai gelling agent dengan konsentrasi 0,75% pada formula I, 1% pada formula II dan 1,25% pada formula III. Kemudian dilakukan evaluasi sediaan pada suhu kamar dan uji dipercepat (Cycling Test) meliputi pH, daya sebar, sineresis/swelling, homogenitas, warna dan bau serta iritasi kulit. Hasil: Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa pH sediaan pada kedua uji penyimpanan mengalami kenaikan, dan hasil pengujian daya sebar sediaan pada suhu kamar serta uji dipercepat mengalami penurunan namun masih memenuhi syarat. Semua sediaan gel antijerawat tidak mengalami peristiwa sineresis/swelling dan memiliki homogenitas yang baik, gel antiijerawat juga tidak mengalami perubahan warna, bau serta tidak mengiritasi kulit baik pada penyimpanan suhu kamar maupun uji dipercepat. Kesimpulan: Ekstrak daun jeringau hijau (Acorus calamus L.) dapat diformulasikan menjadi sediaan gel antijerawat yang stabil dan memenuhi persyaratan serta dapat bertahan selama 12 bulan dengan konsentrasi carbopol 940 yang paling optimal sebesar 1%. Diabetes mellitus is ranked 6th as a cause of death. Many people do not know about type II diabetes mellitus because of a lack of knowledge about diabetes. Knowledge is formed after a person perceives an object. Knowledge of DM patients about the disease and its complications can contribute to preventing diabetic ulcers. The better the patient understands about his illness, the more he understands how to change his behavior. Diabetes can cause nerve damage throughout the body when blood glucose and blood pressure are too high. The purpose of this study was to find out how the knowledge of type II diabetes mellitus patients at the Makrayu Health Center Palembang. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive research. Data were collected using the Diabetes Knowledge Questionnaire 24 (DKQ-24). The sampling technique or sampling technique in this study used the purvosive sampling method with the determination of inclusion and exclusion sample criteria. The number of samples was 53 respondents at the Makrayu Health Center Palembang. With the research results that have been obtained indicate that the knowledge of respondents is categorized as low (96.2%). It is expected for nursing services to provide counseling to diabetic patients about diabetes, so that patients have knowledge about type II diabetes mellitus. To overcome and prevent the recurrence of Rheumatoid arthritis need to be taught how to exercise rheumatism and get support from the family. Method: The design of this study uses descriptive in the form of case studies. The case taken as many as 2 respondents are families with rheumatoid arthritis who experienced pain in the working area of Puskesmas Sei Selincah Palembang in April 2021. This research data was taken with nursing care which includes Assessment, Diagnosis of Nursing, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation, and Documentation. By prioritizing pain problems in families with rheumatoid arthritis. Results: The results showed that the family social support provided by many families with rheumatoid arthritis is very enthusiastic about the education provided. Conclusion: Looking at the results of this study, there needs to be family social support in order to minimize the frequency of recurrence experienced by rheumatoid arthritis sufferers.
