Description An account of the resource Latar belakang : Hipertensi merupakan gangguan sistem pembuluh darah yang menyebabkan kenaikan tekanan darah dalam arteri di atas normal. Hipertensi yang tidak terkontrol dapat menimbulkan risiko penurunan sirkulasi darah pada level kapiler yang menggganggu metabolisme tubuh, faktor penyebab salah satunya gaya hidup kurang sehat, merokok, asupan garam berlebihan. Gejala tanda mayor maupun minor diantaranya pengisian kapiler > 3 detik, nadi perifer menurun, akral teraba dingin, warna kulit pucat, turgor kulit menurun, parastesia (kesemutan), edema. Latihan jalan cepat adalah salah satu bentuk latihan earobik merupakan bentuk latihan aktivitas sedang pada pasien hipertensi dengan menggunakan teknik jalan cepat selama 10-30 menit. Tujuan penelitian : Untuk memperoleh gambaran asuhan keperawatan dalam penerapan latihan jalan cepat pada penderita hipertensi lansia. Metode penelitian : Menggunakan deskriftif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Penatalaksanaan dilakukan untuk meminimalkan penurunan tekanan darah penderita hipertensi salah satunya intervensi nonfarmakologi latihan jalan cepat dengan 3 kali perlakuan waktu antara 10 – 20 menit per perlakuan, jeda waktu antara perlakuan pertama, kedua ketiga yaitu 6 hari. Hasil penelitian : Terdapat penurunan tekanan darah setelah dilakukan intervensi latihan jalan cepat pada penderita hipertensi kedua subyek lansia dengan perubahan tekanan darah yaitu 10 mmHg. Kesimpulan : Latihan jalan cepat dalam meminimalkan penurunan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi.
