Description An account of the resource Background: Gout Arthritis is a degenerative disease caused by the accumulation of uric acid crystals in the joints, the problem felt is stiffness or soreness in the morning then joint pain arises. The pain that is felt can be reduced through the implementation of a red ginger warm water bath. Methods: This case study uses a descriptive method in the form of a case study. The subjects taken were 2 respondents, namely families with Gout Arthritis sufferers with chronicity problems in the working area of the 23 Ilir Health Center Palembang in March 2022. Research data were taken using questionnaires, interviews, blood pressure measurements, and pain measurements. The analysis was carried out descriptively and presented in a narrative manner. The results showed that client 1 and client 2 showed that after the implementation of the alternative nostril breathing, Alternative for 12 times in 12 days with a duration of 15 minutes is able to reduce blood pressure in client 1 systolic by 25 mmHg and diastolic 10 mmHg and in client 2 it is able to reduce blood pressure by systolic 15 mmHg and diastolic 20 mmHg and the results of pain measurements show to client 1 and 2 were able to reduce 3 pain scales. The results showed that there is a need for alternative nasal breathing interventions to reduce blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Risk factors that cause high blood pressure include advanced age, a history of high blood pressure and heredity. Case Study Methods: The design of this case study is a case study to explore the problem of implementing nursing in implementation patients with acute pain problems in hypertensive patients at Muhammadiyah Hospital in Palembang City. The approach used is a nursing care approach which includes assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, evaluation, and documentation. Case Study Results: The study obtained results with the pain problem being resolved by conducting a Pain Management Assessment to find out the pain scale by carrying out pain assessment actions using the PQRST method with implementation 1 time per day in the morning or afternoon. This study was conducted to compare 2 respondents who had been given implementation for 3 days, the conclusions obtained were that in patient 1, there was a pain scale of 3 and in patient II, the pain scale was 2. breathing exercises (deep breathing relaxation techniques), to reduce head pain by doing implementation 1 time per day in the morning or afternoon. This action or this study was carried out to compare 2 respondents who had been given implementation for 3 days, the conclusions obtained were that in patient 1 the pain problem was reduced and used to do it alone when the pain suddenly appeared and patient II also said the pain problem disappeared and do it whenever the pain arises. For 3 days given the drug, both respondents experienced that the pain had reduced.
