Infeksi STH dapat menyerang semua umur namun angka tertinggi didapatkan pada anak SD yakni 60-80%. Infeksi STH dapat menyebabkan gizi buruk, pertumbuhan fisik dan mental yang kurang baik, anemia, serta kemunduran intelektual pada anak. Anemia adalah penurunan jumlah massa eritrosit dan kadar hemoglobin sehingga tidak dapat memenuhi fungsinya untuk membawa oksigen yang cukup ke jaringan perifer. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara infeksi STH dengan anemia pada siswa Kelas 5 dan 6 SD. Jenis penelitian ini adalah survey analitik korelatif dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional dan diambil secara proportional random sampling. Pemeriksaan telur cacing menggunakan Metode Kato-Katz, sedangkan pemeriksaan Kadar Hb menggunakan metode Oxyhemoglobin. Responden merupakan siswa Sekolah Dasar Negeri 170 kelas 5 dan 6 sebanyak 50. Hasil penelitian menunjukan dari 50 siswa ada sebanyak 6 orang (12%) yang terinfeksi STH dan semuanya menderita anemia. Hasil uji statistik Chi-Square menunjukan bahwa ada hubungan antara infeksi STH dengan anemia (p value 0,003). Disarankan kepada para siswa agar dapat menjaga kebersihan diri, selalu menggunakan alas kaki pada saat bermain, serta memperhatikan asupan gizi setiap harinya. Mengkonsumsi vitamin C sangat baik buat kesehatan akan tetapi tubuh memiliki kemampuan terbatas dalam menampung vitamin C, sehingga apabila penggunaan vitamin C tidak sesuai dengan dosis yang dianjurkan bahkan melebih akan menimbulkan beberapa efek samping yang cukup serius. Masalah kesehatan ini tentunya dapat menyebabkan kerugian di berbagai aspek. Hal inilah yang mendasari pentingnya pengetahuan dan perilaku dalam mengkonsumsi vitamin C dengan benar. Maka penulis tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian tentang hubungan pengetahuan dengan perilaku penggunaan vitamin C sebagai anti oksidan pada pasien rawat jalan di RSUD Dr. H. Ibnu Sutowo Baturaja. Metode : Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian non-eksperimen dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah pasien rawat jalan RSUD Dr. H. Ibnu Sutowo Baturaja yaitu sebanyak 76 responden. Data diolah menggunakan program SPSS dengan uji statistik yaitu uji Fisher test. Hasil : Berdasarkan hasil yang dilakukan diperoleh responden yang memiliki pengetahuan tinggi sebanyak 70 orang (92,1%) dan pengetahuan rendah sebanyak 6 orang (7,9%). Dari 76 responden yang perilaku yang baik sebanyak 71 orang (93,4%) dan perilaku kurang baik sebanyak 5 orang (6,6%). Kesimpulan : Terdapat hubungan pengetahuan dan perilaku penggunaan vitamin C sebagai antioksidan pada pasien rawat jalan RSUD Dr. H. Ibnu Sutowo Baturaja. Using a cross sectional approach. Sampling in this study is purposive sampling technique as many as 53 respondents. Data collection using Baecke's questionnaire and diet questionnaire. The results of the analysis using the Mann-Whitney test. The results of this study indicate that 68.8% are female, the average age of the respondents is 59.77 years, the average length of suffering of the respondents is 5.28 years. 22.6% of respondents with a history of DM. 52.8% of mild physical activity, 49.1% of respondents with poor diet, average blood sugar when respondents were 250.19 mg/dl. The results of the analysis of physical activity with temporary blood sugar levels (P-Value 0.001), results of analysis of eating patterns with temporary blood sugar levels (P-Value 0.0005). If someone with light physical activity and poor diet can increase blood sugar levels in the body. The results of this study can be input for health workers to provide education about the importance of doing regular physical activity and maintaining a diet, so as to increase physical activity and a good diet for people with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
