<text>ABSTRACT
Hypertension is a condition when a systolic blood pressure is 130 mmHg or more
and a diastolic blood pressure is over 80 mmHg. Giving combination treatment
through slow deep breathing exercises and boiled water of bay leaves is an
alternative treatment that has no side effects. The purpose of this study was to see
the effect of the combination of slow deep breathing exercises and boiled water of
bay leaves on systolic and diastolic blood pressure. This study used quantitative
pre-experimental approach with one-group pre-post design. This research was
conducted at Sekip Public Health Center Palembang on May 2021. In addition,
there are 18 people participated in this study. Their participations were achieved
through simple random technique. Data analysis was carried out in both
univariate and bivariate way using the statistical Wilcoxon test. The results
revealed that there was an effect of the combination of slow deep breathing
exercises and boiled water of bay leaves on systolic blood pressure (p value =
0.000) and diastolic blood pressure (p value = 0.003). The conclusion of this
study is that the combination of slow deep breathing exercises and boiled water of
bay leaves has a synergistic effect to patients with hypertension’s blood pressure.
Based on the research results, it is suggested that it can be used as a nonpharmacological alternative to patients with hypertension</text>

                <text>ABSTRACT
Background: Hypertension is a cardiovascular problem with a very high prevalence, including in Indonesia. Hypertension is the biggest comorbid factor causing death from COVID-19. The high prevalence of hypertension cases cannot be separated from the role of self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is a strong factor and can be used to predict and explain a person's health behavior. Purposes: The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors related to the self-efficacy of patients with hypertension during the COVID-19 period. Method: Using descriptive analytic with cross sectional approach. Sampling in this study used a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling approach of 78 respondents. Data collection used a demographic data questionnaire, a Self-Efficacy for Hypertension Management questionnaire, and a PSS-10 questionnaire (Perceived Stress Scale-10). The results of the analysis using the Chi-Square Test, T-Independent Test, and the Mann-Whitney U Test. Result: It shows that the average respondent is 60.15 years old, female 67.9%, low educated 59%, unemployed 69.2%, BMI 24.21 kg/m², has a history of hypertension in the family 56.4%, old suffering from hypertension 7.44 years, no complications of comorbidities 71.8%, mild stress 51.3%, married 87.2% and living with family (100%), high self-efficacy 75.5%. The results of the analysis showed that age (p value 0.608), gender (p value 0.369), occupation (p value 1,000), education (p value 0.007), nutritional status (p value 0.126), history of hypertension (p value 0.238), age suffering from hypertension (p value 0.724), complications (p value 0.024), marital status (p value 0.719), stress (p value 0.025).Conclusion: It was concluded that the factors of age, gender, occupation, nutritional status, history of hypertension, length of suffering, marital status were not related to self-efficacy. There is a relationship between education, complications, and stress factors with self-efficacy. The results of this study can be used for health workers to provide education about hypertension, so that it is expected to improve self-efficacy for patients with hypertension.</text>

                <text>ABSTRACT
Academic stress is a condition or condition in the form of physical, mental or emotional disorders caused by a mismatch between environmental demands and the actual resources owned by students so that they are increasingly burdened with various pressures and demands at school, online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic has an influence on stress academic students, this stress itself will trigger the release of the hormone cortisol which will affect the production of the hormones FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) and LH (Luitenizing Hormone) and inhibit the production of estrogen and progesterone causing irregular menstrual cycles. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between academic stress levels and the menstrual cycle during the COVID-19 pandemic at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang. This type of research is quantitative in nature with an analytical survey design through a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used was non-probability, namely purposive sampling as many as 44 students. Data analysis using Chi-Square test. The results showed that the majority of respondents experienced moderate academic stress as many as 18 (40.9%) and for the menstrual cycle variable, it was found that the majority of respondents had abnormal menstrual cycles as many as 26 (59.1%). The results of the Chi-Square test obtained (p-value=0.031) (p<0.05) meaning that there was a significant relationship between academic stress levels and the menstrual cycle during the COVID-19 pandemic at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang. It is recommended for SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang to provide education related to reproductive health to increase the knowledge and understanding of adolescents regarding the problem of menstrual cycle disorders.</text>

Hypertension is a chronic condition characterized by increased blood pressure on the walls of the arteries. Hypertension can lead to several complications, such as coronary heart disease, right ventricular hypertrophy, and brain targets in the form of stroke. Hypertension management can be done with non-pharmacological therapy, including giving red watermelon juice and tomato juice as a pharmacological companion in patients with hypertension. The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of giving red watermelon juice and tomato juice therapy to hypertensive respondents at the Harapan Kita Elderly Social Institution in Palembang. This study uses a Quasy Experimental design with a Pre-Post Non Equivalent Control Group Design approach. The population of this study were all residents of the Harapan Kita Elderly Social Home in Palembang. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The sample size is 20 respondents who meet the inclusion criteria, each of which is 10 respondents who are treated with red watermelon juice and 10 respondents are treated with tomato juice. The results showed a significant decrease in systolic blood pressure in the red watermelon juice group, and a significant decrease in diastolic blood pressure in the tomato juice group. In general, both the red watermelon and tomato groups can reduce both systolic and diastolic blood pressure in hypertension sufferers. Red watermelon contains L-Citrulline which helps dilate blood vessels which increases blood circulation in accordance with systolic blood pressure when the heart muscle contracts, and tomatoes contain potassium which is able to relieve blood vessel tension in accordance with diastolic blood pressure when the heart muscle is not contracting. It is hoped that the orphanage can take regular blood pressure measurements and include watermelon and tomatoes in their daily diet.</text>

Background: Diabetes Mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases characterized
by hyperglycemia that occurs due to abnormalities in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. Type 2 diabetes is insulin resistance diabetes, this occurs due to a decrease in sensitivity to insulin. Quality of life is an individual's perception of his life in the context of culture and values held by individuals in relation to personal goals, expectations, standards of living, and concerns that affect
physical, psychological, social relationships, and environmental abilities. Objective: To describe the quality of life of Type 2 DM patients during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Makrayu Health Center. Research Methods: This
research is quantitative descriptive with a survey approach. Data were collected
using a Diabetes Quality of Life (DQOL) questionnaire. Sampling was done by purposive sampling on 53 respondents. The analysis used is univariate data analysis. Results: The results of this study indicate that the youngest age is 31 years and the oldest is 76 years. Respondents are female (54.7%). Respondents
have complications of heart disease (54.7%), the average length of time
suffering from Type 2 DM is 35.04 months. Quality of life of DM patients
(56.6%) had good quality of life. Discussion and Suggestion: In this study, not
all respondents have a good quality of life, this is influenced by characteristics,
complications, blood glucose levels and the covid-19 pandemic. So it is hoped
that the Makrayu Health Center will further increase activities in the DM
community by holding exercise activities, checking blood sugar, and providing education, thereby improving the quality of life of DM sufferers.</text>
