Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi gelatin yang optimal untuk menghasilkan Chewable Lozenges yang stabil dan memenuhi persyaratan. Chewable lozenges dibuat dengan menggunakan zat aktif ekstrak temu kunci (Boesenbergia pandurata Roxb) dengan kandungan senyawa aktif flavonoid yang berkhasiat sebagai antibakteri. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental, dengan ekstrak temu kunci (Boesenbergia pandurata Roxb) sebagai zat aktif dan memvariasikan konsentrasi gelatin sebagai pengikat dengan konsentrasi 10% pada formula kontrol dan formula I, 11% pada formula II, dan 12% pada formula III. Kemudian dilakukan evaluasi sediaan selama 28 hari penyimpanan meliputi pH, keseragaman bobot, kadar air, organoleptis dan uji kualitas rasa. Hasil : Hasil evaluasi penyimpanan selama 28 hari menunjukkan bahwa sediaan chewable lozenges yang meliputi pH, keseragaman bobot, kadar air, organoleptis dan uji kualitas rasa telah memenuhi persyaratan sediaan chewable lozenges yang baik. Ditinjau dari kualitas rasa pada formula II dengan konsentrasi gelatin 11% merupakan sedian yang paling disukai. Kesimpulan : Ekstrak temu kunci (Boesenbergia pandurata Roxb) dapat diformulasikan menjadi sediaan chewable lozenges yang stabil dan memenuhi persyaratan. Maka akan dilakukan penelitian tentang pengaruh ukuran simplisia batang brotowali (Tinospora crispa L.) terhadap rendemen, kadar sari larut air dan kadar sari larut etanol. Metode : Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian eksperimental. Batang brotowali (Tinospora crispa L.) dibagi menjadi dua ukuran yaitu dirajang dan diserbuk. Lalu simplisia dimaserasi dengan etanol 96% dan dikentalkan dengan rotary evaporator. Ekstrak kental masing-masing dilakukan uji rendemen, kadar sari larut air dan kadar sari larut etanol. Hasil : Ekstrak etanol batang brotowali (Tinospora crispa L.) pada simplisia yang dirajang mempunyai rendemen ekstrak sebesar 6,0775%, kadar sari larut air sebesar 27,5950% dan kadar sari larut etanol sebesar 33,3123%. Sedangkan simplisia yang diserbuk mempunyai rendemen ekstrak sebesar 10,0918%, kadar sari larut air sebesar 60,7335% dan kadar sari larut etanol sebesar 39,4689%. Kesimpulan : Ekstrak etanol batang brotowali (Tinospora crispa L.) yang diserbuk mempunyai rendemen, kadar sari larut air dan kadar sari larut etanol yang lebih besar dibandingkan ekstrak etanol batang brotowali (Tinospora crispa L.) yang dirajang. Penatalaksanaan yang dilakukan kepada 2 orang subjek untuk menurunkan kadar gula darah pada pasien diabetes mellitus adalah dengan melakukan penerapan senam diabetes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadinya penurunan kadar gula darah pada kedua subjek setelah dilakukan senam diabetes 1 kali dalam 1 minggu selama 3 minggu berturut-turut. Diharapkan kepada petugas kesehatan di Puskesmas Simpang Periuk untuk terus melakukan senam diabetes pada pasien diabetes mellitus karena sudah terbukti dapat menurunkan kadar gula darah. ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus is a group of heterogeneous disorders characterized by increased levels of glucose in the blood or hyperglycemia. The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the application of diabetes gymnastics to reduce blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus patients in the working area of Simpang Periuk Public Health Center in Lubuklinggau City. This research method uses case study design using nursing care approaches namely assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. The management of two subjects to reduce blood sugar levels in patients with diabetes mellitus is by applying diabetes exercise. The results showed that there was a decrease in blood sugar levels in both subjects after diabetes exercise 1 time a week for 3 consecutive weeks. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Eksperimental dengan desain pre dan post test. Sampel penelitian mahasiswa Jurusan Kesehatan Gigi sebanyak 100 sampel yang diambil secara simple random sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji univariat dan uji multivariat dengan menggunakan Uji One Way Anova dilanjutkan Uji Post Hoc. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapati bahwa secara uji One way Anova terdapat perbedaan rata-rata yang signifikan berkumur dengan obat kumur ekstrak bunga rosella 20%,40%,60%, dan chlorhexidine terhadap pH saliva, namun berdasarkan uji Post Hoc obat kumur ekstrak bunga rosella 20% sama efektif dengan obat kumur ekstrak bunga rosella 40%, namun berbeda dengan obat kumur ekstrak bunga rosella 60%. Maka, ditarik kesimpulan efektivitas Obat kumur ekstrak bunga rosella 60% lebih kuat secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan pH saliva dibanding obat kumur Chlorhexidine, hal ini ditunjukkan pada uji statistik.
