Bayi baru lahir sangat rentan terkena infeksi, maka dari itu bayi baru lahir harus diberikan perawatan khusus dan salah satunya adalah perawatan tali pusat sampai tali pusat lepas. Tali pusat adalah saluran vascular yang menghubungkan embrio atau fetus dengan plasenta. Insersi pada tali pusat pusat merupakan tindakan keperawatan yang bertujuan merawat tali pusat pada bayi baru lahir agar tetap kering dan mencegah terjadinya infeksi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperoleh gambaran asuhan keperawatan dengan pelaksanaan askep pada bayi baru lahir untuk penyembuhan tali pusat dengan menggunakan kassa steril di ruang rawat inap RSUD Dr. Sobirin Kabupaten Musi Rawas Tahun 2018. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi kasus dengan menggunakan pendekatan asuhan keperawatan yaitu pengkajian, diagnosa keperawatan, intervensi, implementasi dan evaluasi. Penatalaksanaan untuk Penyembuhan Luka Tali Pusat yang dilakukan pada kedua subjek adalah yaitu dengan Perawatan Luka Tali Pusat Menggunakan Kasa Steril tidak terjadi infeksi didaerah tali pusat. Untuk tenaga kesehatan di Ruangan Masoka RSUD Dr. Sobirin Kabupaten Musi Rawas dalam memberikan asuhan keperawatan khususnya pemberian perawatan luka tali pusat menggunakan kassa kering

The newborn babies are very susceptible to the infection, so newborns should be given special care and one of them is the care of the umbilical cord until the umbilical cord is released. The umbilical cord is a vascular channel that connected from the embryo or fetus to the placenta. Insertion in the central umbilical cord is a nursing care that aims to treat the umbilical cord in newborns to keep them dry and prevent of any infection. The purpose of this study is to obtain an overview with the implementation of nursing care in the newborns to cure umbilical cord using sterile gauze in the patient room of Dr. Sobirin Hospital of Musi Rawas Regency in 2018. This research method used case study design using nursing care approaches namely assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Management for the healing of umbilical cord wounds performed on both subjects is by using cord treatment that using sterile gauze, there is no infection in the umbilical cord area. For the workers in the masoka room in the dr. Sobirin Hospital in Musi Rawas Regency is providing nursing care, especially in providing umbilical cord care using dry gauze.
