Description
Background: Hallucinations are a form of perception or sensory experience that cannot
be stimulated by receptors, in which an individual's ability to distinguish between stimuli
in the mind and external/global stimuli is lost. Hallucination patients are caused by
parenting, developmental and psychological factors as a result resulting in hallucinatory
symptoms. Someone who experiences hallucinations talks to himself, smiles to himself,
laughs to himself. Methods: This type of research is descriptive in the form of a case
study using the nursing care method conducted by the researcher. One of the treatments
for hallucinatory patients is using occupational therapy, one of which is drawing therapy,
art can be used as therapy for people with mental disorders. Drawing activities carried out
aim to minimize the patient's interaction with his own world, bring out thoughts, feelings,
or emotions that have influenced unconscious behavior, provide motivation and provide
joy, entertainment, and distract the patient from the hallucinations he is experiencing so
that the patient's mind is not focused. with hallucinations. Results: after implementing
occupational drawing therapy nursing for 7 days, hallucinations were found in the three
patients to have decreased. Conclusion : Drawing therapy can be an intervention in
reducing auditory hallucinations in the three patients.
