Description
Background: Hypertension or high blood pressure is a condition characterized by increased blood pressure on the walls of the arteries. A person is said to have hypertension if the blood pressure check shows results above 140/90 mmHg.
Method: This type of research is descriptive in the form of a case study with a nursing care approach. Case study subjects were 2 family members suffering from
hypertension with pain problems at Merdeka Palembang Health Center. Data
collection techniques were observation and physical examination, interviews,
questionnaires and pain assessment. Results: The results showed a decrease in
client 1 and client 2's pain scale after giving yoga therapy for 3 days a week with a
duration of 20 minutes, namely clients I and Client II who previously experienced
pain with a pain scale of 5 and 6 after yoga therapy the pain was reduced to pain
scale 2 and 3, and given health education about hypertension to clients and
families so that clients seem to understand hypertension.Conclusion:
Implementation of yoga therapy can reduce acute pain in hypertension sufferers. It
is recommended that the implementation of yoga therapy be carried out by scheduled sufferers for families and hypertensive clients for the pain they experience.
