Infeksi Saluran Pernapasan Akut (ISPA) adalah proses infeksi akut yang berlangsung selama 14 hari, disebabkan oleh mikroorganisme dan menyerang salah satu bagian atau lebih dari saluran nafas, mulai dari hidung (saluran atas) hingga alveoli (saluran bawah), termasuk jaringan adneksanya, seperti sinus, rongga telinga tengah dan pleura. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mempeeroleh gambaran asuhan keperawatan pada pasien ISPA dalam intervensi penerapan batuk efektif untuk mengeluarkan sputum pada anak usia 4-6 tahun. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi kasus dengan menggunakan pendekatan asuhan keperawatan yaitu pengkajian, diagnosa keperawatan, intervensi, implementasi dan evaluasi. Penatalaksanaan pengeluaran sputum yang dilakukan adalah intervensi non farmakologi yaitu penerapan teknik batuk efektif. Intervensi pendukung yang dilakukan adalah kaji frekuensi dan kedalaman pernafasan, auskultasi area paru, catat area penurunan / tak ada aliran udara dan bunyi nafas krekels atau mengi, kaji pasien untuk posisi yang nyaman dan berikan obat sesuai indikasi dari hasil kolaborasi dengan dokter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadinya pengeluaran sputum yang signifikan setelah dilakukan intervensi keperawatan dengan penerapan teknik batuk efektif pada pasien anak usia 4-6 tahun dengan infeksi saluran pernafasan akut. Saran kepada petugas kesehatan diruangan Al-Atfal untuk dapat melakukan teknik batuk efektif pada pasien ISPA karena dapat mengeluarkan sputum.

Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is an acute infection process that lasts for 14 days, caused by microorganisms and attacks one or more of the respiratory tract, from the nose (upper channel) to the alveoli (lower channel), including the adnexa tissue, such as sinus, middle ear cavity and pleura. The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of nursing care in ARD patients in the intervention of effective cough application to remove sputum in children aged 4-6 years. This research method using case study design using nursing care approach that is assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Management of sputum expenditure is non-pharmacological intervention is the application of effective cough technique. Support interventions include frequency and respiratory examination, auscultation of the lung area, note the areas of decreased / absent airflow and krekels or wheezing breath sounds, review the patient for a comfortable position and provide medication as indicated by the collaboration with the physician. The results showed that significant sputum expenditure after nursing intervention was done by applying effective cough technique in children aged 4-6 years with acute respiratory infection. Advice to health care workers in the room of Al-Atfal to be able to perform effective coughing techniques in patients with ARI because it can remove sputum.
