Bronchial asthma is a non-communicable disease caused by chronic inflammation of the airways that causes hyperresponsiveness, mucus production, and mucosal edema. This causes recurrent symptoms such as dyspnea, wheezing, heaviness in the chest, and coughing, especially at night. The general objective is to describe the implementation of nursing for bronchial asthma patients with ineffective airway clearance problems.
The design used is descriptive in the form of a case study, the samples taken are two people with the same medical diagnosis, namely bronchial asthma with ineffective airway clearance problems, at Bhayangkara Hospital Palembang.
The results showed that client 1 and client 2 were obtained. The results showed that the implementation of nursing in bronchial asthma patients with ineffective airway clearance problems given to patients was able to reduce shortness of breath in patients.
The conclusion of the study is that after implementing nursing in bronchial asthma patients with ineffective airway clearance problems, namely practicing effective coughing, adjusting the semi-fowler position, and giving warm drinks from both patients, it can be concluded that the three implementations can make the patient comfortable and can reduce the patient's shortness of breath.
