Description
Background: Since Tuberkulosis was declared a Global Health Emergency by the
World Health Organization (WHO) in 1993 as a health emergency many people die
every year from tuberculosis. Cough problems in pulmonary tuberculosis caused by
secretions in the respiratory tract can be overcome with effective cough exercises.
Method: Design this research using descriptive methods with case study exposure.
The approach used in this scientific paper is the assessment, diagnosis of nursing,
planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing. The subjects of the case study
used 2 people, an adult male with a minimum treatment length of 3 days with the
criteria of having ineffective airway cleaning problems. This research was conducted
at Palembang Bari Hospital in 2022.
Results: The results of studies of patients 1 and 2 can show the results of nursing
implementation Effective cough exercises for 3 days can overcome cough by removing
phlegm to the maximum.
Conclusion: The results of the study illustrate the need for effective cough exercises
in overcoming cough due to sputum that is difficult to remove in pulmonary
tuberkulosis patients.
