Bronchial asthma is a disorder in the form of chronic inflammation
(inflammation) of the airways that causes bronchial hyperactivity, causing recurrent
episodic symptoms of wheezing, shortness of breath, heaviness in the chest, and
coughing especially, at night or early morning. The general objective is to be able to
describe the implementation of nursing application of effective cough on family
members with bronchial asthma with ineffective airway clearance problems in the
Palembang Social Health Center Work Area in 2022
The design used is descriptive in the form of a case study, the samples taken
are 2 people with the same medical diagnosis, namely bronchial asthma with
ineffective airway clearance problems in the Palembang Social Health Center Work
Area, on February 23, 2022 – March 04, 2022.
The results showed that client 1 and client 2 could understand the information
provided and apply effective coughing exercises and health education so that
ineffective airway clearance was reduced.
The results showed that the family social support that many families give to
people with bronchial asthma is that the family looks very enthusiastic about the
education given. Seeing the results of this study, it is necessary to have family social
support in order to minimize the frequency of recurrences experienced by Bronchial
Asthma sufferers.
