ABSTRACT
Background: Postoperative women with cesarean section feel post-operative pain due to disconnection of tissues, blood vessels and nerves. Release histamine and prostaglandins. Stimulate pain receptors at free nerve endings. Pain is perceived. Nurses have a big share in controlling pain with non-pharmacological methods, one of which is the Deep Breath Relaxation technique. Purpose of the case study: The author is able to carry out the implementation of nursing in postoperative mothers with sectio caesarea with acute pain
Case study method: The design of this case study is descriptive in the form of a case study with a nursing process approach consisting of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation. This case study focuses on the implementation of postoperative pain in the post-caesarean section through observation of pain, provision of deep breath relaxation techniques and education about acute pain in post-caesarean section postoperative mothers. The subject of the case study amounted to two cases with acute pain postoperative sectio caesarean nursing problem at Muhammadiyah Hospital Palembang in 2021.
Case study results: Deep breath relaxation techniques have an effect on effectively controlling the pain experienced by post-caesarean section patients
Conclusion: All nursing plans that have been prepared based on theory can be done in the field on patients.
