Berbagai upaya dianjurkan untuk memutus rantai penyebaran covid-19, salah satunya mengkonsumsi vitamin c, berolahraga dirumah, berjemur, menjaga jarak, memakai masker dan mencuci tangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan upaya preventif terhadap covid-19 oleh mahasiswa Poltekkes Kemenkes Palembang. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah non eksperimen dengan desain deskriptif. Data penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dengan pengisian kuesioner oleh mahasiswa Poltekkes Kemenkes Palembang menggunakan media google form. Hasil : Dari hasil yang didapatkan, mahasiswa Poltekkes Kemenkes Palembang sudah menunjukkan kebiasaan dan upaya yang baik terhadap penularan infeksi virus covid-19. Kesimpulan : Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kebiasaan yang paling sering dilakukan adalah olahraga, menjaga jarak dan mencuci tangan. Sedangkan mencuci tangan merupakan upaya tertinggi yang dilakukan. Imunitas tubuh harus dijaga dengan baik agar tidak mudah terserang penyakit. Selama masa pendemi Covid-19, Rumah sakit sebagai salah satu tempat yang paling rentan terjadinya transmisi lokal. Keterbatasan tenaga medis ahli dan system kesehatan nasional yang masih awam terhadap penyakit Covid-19 ini menjadi tantangan tersendiri. Karenanya, hal yang terpenting saat ini adalah bagaimana agar dapat memutus rantai transmisi salah satunya dengan meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh bagi tenaga kesehatan di lingkungan rumahsakit, khususnya di lingkungan Rumah Sakit Umum Dr.H. Ibnu Sutowo Baturaja. Metode : Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian observasional atau non eksperimental dengan mengikuti rancangan deskriptif. Dalam penelitian ini rumus pengambilan sampel menggunakan rumus Isaac dan Michael yaitu sebanyak 186 sampel yang digunakan. Kemudian data dianalisa untuk menggambarkan upaya yang dilakukan tenaga kesehatan dalam meningkatkan daya tahan tubuhnya pada masa pandemi covid-19. Hasil : Upaya responden dalam meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh pada masa pandemi Covid-19 yaitu baik sebanyak 131 orang (70,4%) sedangkan terdapat 55 (29,6%) responden memiliki upaya yang kurang baik dalam meningkatkan daya tahan tubuhnya. Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini menyimpulkan jika secara umum upaya yang dilakukan tenaga kesehatan di rumah sakit Dr. H. Ibnu Sutowo Baturaja sudah baik untuk meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Namun pirazinamid jika dipakai dalam waktu yang lama dapat menimbulkan efek samping berupa terganggunya ekskresi asam urat pada tubulus proksimal dan menyebabkan hiperurisemia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar asam urat pada pasien tuberkulosis paru yang mendapat terapi Obat Anti Tuberkulosis (OAT) berdasarkan umur, jenis kelamin dan lama pengobatan di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Muara Dua Tahun 2019. Jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Jumlah sampel 20 orang yang diambil dengan teknik accidental sampling. Hasil distribusi statistik menunjukkan rata-rata 7,9 mg/dl median 7,9 mg/dl standar deviasi 1,4 mg/dl kadar minimum 5,6 mg/dl kadar maksimum 10,5 mg/dl dan dari 95% confident interval for mean disimpulkan bahwa rata-rata kadar asam urat adalah 7,2-8,6 mg/dl. Didapatkan sebanyak 14 orang (70,0%) kadar asam urat tinggi, 6 orang (30,0%) kadar asam urat normal. Pada pasien berumur > 50 tahun diperoleh 5 orang (83,3%) kadar asam urat tinggi dan 1 orang (16,7%) kadar usam urat normal sedangkan pasien berumur ≤ 50 tahun ada 9 orang (64,3%) kadar asam urat tinggi dan 5 orang (35,7%) kadar usam urat normal. Pada pasien berjenis kelamin laki-laki ada 11 orang (64,7%) kadar asam urat tinggi sedangkan pasien berjenis kelamin perempuan 3 orang (100,0%) kadar asam urat tinggi. Pada pasien lama pengobatan 0-4 minggu ada 2 orang (50,0%) kadar asam urat tinggi sedangkan lama pengobatan 5-8 minggu ada 12 orang (75,0%) kadar asam urat tinggi. Diharapkan pasien untuk selalu memeriksakan kadar asam urat selama proses pengobatan.
