Sebagian kalangan menyebutnya dengan The Silent Killer. WHO memperkirakan bahwa tekanan darah tinggi menyebabkan satu dari setiap delapan kematian, yang membuat hipertensi menjadi penyebab pembunuh utama ketiga didunia. Berdasarkan World Health Organization (WHO) yang dilakukan secara global, terdapat 1 milyar penderita hipertensi dan empat juta orang meninggal setiap tahun akibat langsung dari hipertensi serta mempengaruhi populasi orang dewasa 26%. Laporan Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskesdas) tahun 2010, prevalensi hipertensi di Indonesia mencapai 31,7% pada penduduk usia 18 tahun keatas. Kenyataan ini menunjukkan penyakit hipertensi menjadi salah satu penyebab kesakitan di Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan gizi, pola makan dan kepatuhan diet dengan tekanan darah pasien hipertensi rawat jalan di RSMH Palembang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei analitik dengan pendekatan Cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini penderita hipertensi rawat jalan di poli rawat jalan Rumah Sakit Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Data yang didapat dianalisa menggunakan uji chi-square. Jumlah sampel adalah 49 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan (57,1%) responden berjenis kelamin laki-laki. Sebanyak 89,8% responden termasuk kelompok umur beresiko, sebanyak 67,3% responden berstatus gizi normal, 83,7% responden tidak merokok, 61,2% responden tidak memiliki riwayat hipertensi, 44,9% responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan sedang, 53,1% sering mengkonsumsi makanan tinggi natrium, 57,1% tidak patuh menjalankan diet. Sebanyak 81,6% memiliki tekanan darah sistolik tinggi dan 77,6% tekanan darah diastolik tinggi. Dari hasil uji statistik yang dilakukan didapat ada hubungan antara pola makan tinggi natrium (p=0,008),dan kepatuhan diet (p=0,003) dengan tekanan darah sistolik. Ada hubungan pola makan tinggi natrium (p=0,02),dan kepatuhan diet (p=0,005) dengan tekanan darah diastolik. Tidak ada hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dengan tekanan darah sisolik dan diastolik. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between physical activity and diet with blood sugar levels during Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus during the COVID-19 Pandemic in the Makrayu Health Center Palembang Working Area in 2021. Using a cross sectional approach. Sampling in this study is purposive sampling technique as many as 53 respondents. Data collection using Baecke's questionnaire and diet questionnaire. The results of the analysis using the Mann-Whitney test. The results of this study indicate that 68.8% are female, the average age of the respondents is 59.77 years, the average length of suffering of the respondents is 5.28 years. 22.6% of respondents with a history of DM. 52.8% of mild physical activity, 49.1% of respondents with poor diet, average blood sugar when respondents were 250.19 mg/dl. The results of the analysis of physical activity with temporary blood sugar levels (P-Value 0.001), results of analysis of eating patterns with temporary blood sugar levels (P-Value 0.0005). If someone with light physical activity and poor diet can increase blood sugar levels in the body. The results of this study can be input for health workers to provide education about the importance of doing regular physical activity and maintaining a diet, so as to increase physical activity and a good diet for people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental. Dengan rancangan pretest posttest design with control group pada dua kelompok dengan penyuluhan menggunakan media booklet dan media scrapbook. Hasil Penelitian yang didapat yaitu setelah dilakukan penyuluhan menggunakan media booklet maupun scrapbook menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai pengetahuan di mana nilai post test lebih tinggi dibandingkan nilai pre testnya. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikat terhadap rata rata variable skor pre test dan post test, artinya penyuluhan menggunakan media scrapbook lebih berpengaruh signifikat dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Kesimpulan yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah rata rata skor pengetahuan sebelum penyuluhan dengan media booklet 72,85 dan rata rata skor pengetahuan setelah penyuluhan dengan booklet 81,78. Rata-rata skor pengetahuan sebelum penyuluhan dengan media scrapbook 76,07 dan rata rata skor pengetahuan setelah penyuluhan dengan scrapbook 88,75.
