Banyak faktor yang dapat menyebabkan jerawat, termasuk penggunaan kosmetik. Bedak padat merupakan jenis kosmetik yang banyak digunakan dikalangan remaja dan dewasa. Penggunaan kosmetik yang sudah terkontaminasi adalah salah satu faktor yang berperan dalam penyebaran penyakit infeksi seperti jerawat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Angka Lempeng Total dan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus pada sediaan bedak padat yang telah digunakan selama 1 bulan oleh mahasiswa Poltekkes Palembang Jurusan Farmasi Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif non-eksperimental. Tahapan penelitian yang dilakukan meliputi penentuan dan pemilihan tempat pengambilan sampel, pengambilan sampel bedak padat, pengujian Angka Lempeng Total dan pengujian bakteri Staphylococcus aureus pada bedak padat. Hasil : Pada penelitian ini diperoleh Angka Lempeng Total dari bedak padat. Hasil menunjukan nilai Angka Lempeng Total yang terkecil 0 koloni/ml sampai yang terbesar 2,5 x 103 koloni/ml dan hasil uji bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dengan media Blood Agar Plate yaitu negatif. Kesimpulan : Sampel bedak padat yang telah digunakan selama 1 bulan oleh mahasiswa Poltekkes Palembang Jurusan Farmasi dengan merk yang berbeda, ada yang memenuhi persyaratan keamanan dan ada yang tidak memenuhi persyaratan keamanan. Communities have to be ready for disasters. To strengthen the community's readiness to deal with disasters, knowledge must be increased. Better educational methods are needed to convey material, one of which is by utilizing technology. Objective: The study aimed to construct and test the effect of SiBen disaster education to improve the readiness toward hurricanes in the community of Lubuklinggau, South Sumatra, Indonesia. Method: Research and Development (R & R&D) with experimental tests, pre-test, and post-test were applied in this study. A total of 40 people were given three meetings within two weeks. Results: As the result, the participants have shown progression of readiness (t = 3.168, p < 0.002). The findings indicated that the SiBen Application effectively improved the readiness of the community toward the hurricane. It is hoped that this application can be widely used to improve the readiness of the whole community. Title A name given to the resource Original Research Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness "The Effects of a Disaster Preparedness app on Community Knowledge and Intentional Behavior in Hurricane Risk Areas" Subject The topic of the resource disaster app, disaster, mitigation Description An account of the resource Objective: With the advancement of technology, disaster preparedness related to hurricane hazards can be taught through an app. This study aimed to examine the effect of using an android-based disaster preparedness app on community knowledge and intentional behavior in hurricane risk areas. Methods: A quasi-experimental study was conducted from October to November, 2020 and a total of 80 respondents were recruited using cluster sampling. The treatment group was given the intervention in the form of the disaster preparedness app for 2 weeks. Meanwhile, the con�trol group received home visits and conventional education about hurricane disasters twice throughout the same period. We then used a Wilcoxon Signed Rank test to analyze the pre�test and post-test and a Mann-Whitney U test to compare between treatment and control groups. Results: After the implementation of the SiBen app, we found a statistically significant differ�ence in knowledge between treatment and control groups (P < 0.003) and intentional behavior between treatment and control groups (P < 0.001). Conclusion: The findings indicate that the disaster preparedness app was an effective educa�tional program able to improve the knowledge and intentional behavior among community members in a hurricane risk area.
