Title A name given to the resource EFEK PENAMBAHAN VITAMIN C TERHADAP AKTIVITAS KOTRIMOKSAZOL DALAM MENGHAMBAT PERTUMBUHAN Escherichia coli DAN Staphylococcus aureus SECARA IN VITRO Description An account of the resource Latar Belakang : Antibiotik yang biasa digunakan sebagai terapi infeksi gram negatif dari bakteri Escherichia coli dan gram positif Staphylococcus aureus tersebut salah satunya adalah kotrimoksazol yang merupakan kombinasi dari sulfametoksazol dan trimetoprim. Kotrimoksazol digunakan untuk mengobati infeksi akibat bakteri pada saluran pernapasan, pencernaan, dan saluran kemih. Pada kebanyakan kasus infeksi, pemberian terapi farmakologis tambahan tidak jarang pula diberikan. Salah satu terapi yang dipakai adalah pemberian Vitamin C. Terdapat beberapa penelitian yang menyebutkan bahwa penambahan vitamin C mampu meningkatkan kerja antibiotik dalam mengeradikasi bakteri. Oleh karena itu peneliti meneliti tentang efek penambahan vitamin C terhadap aktivitas Kotrimoksazol dalam menghambat pertumbuhan Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus secara in vitro. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode disc diffusion yaitu dengan cara meneteskan larutan pada cakram kosong yang selanjutnya diletakkan pada cawan berisi Mueller Hinton Agar yang telah diinokulasi bakteri Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus Hasil : Diameter zona hambat pada Kotrimoksazol 5mg/ml (E.coli =30 mm; S.aureus =31 mm) dan diameter zona hambat pada Kotrimoksazol + Vit.C tiap konsentrasi berturut-turut 2,5 mg/ml; 5 mg/ml; 10mg/ml; 20 mg/ml; 40 mg/ml (E.coli =31mm;31mm;32mm;32,5mm;33mm dan S.aureus =32mm;32,5mm; 33mm; 33mm; dan 34mm) Kesimpulan : Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah penambahan Vitamin C memiliki efek meningkatkan aktivitas Kotrimoksazol dalam menghambat pertumbuhan Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus secara in vitro dan konsentrasi minimum vitamin C yang mempengaruhi aktivitas Kotrimoksazol terhadap penghambatan pertumbuhan Escherichia coli adalah sebesar 0,7970 mg/ml sedangkan pada Staphylococcus aureus adalah sebesar 0,5047 mg/ml. Peresepan obat yang tidak rasional, selain akan berdampak buruk bagi kesehatan, individu, pasien, dan menyebabkan reaksi yang tidak diinginkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menggambarkan peresepan obat pada pasien yang didiagnosa ISPA Non Pneumonia di Puskesmas Lais Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin Tahun 2020. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian non eksperimental dengan rancangan desktriptif dan pengambilan data secara retrospektif. Penelitian ini mengambil data pada bulan Januari – April 2020 di Puskesmas Lais. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 130 rekam medis pasien ISPA Non Pneumonia. Hasil : Hasil penelitan yang didapatkan dari hasil pengambilan data seluruh pasien ISPA non pneumonia di Puskesmas Lais Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin periode Januari – April 2020 dan didapatkan 130 pasien ISPA Non Pneumonia. Hasil evaluasi peresepan obat berdasarkan jenis obat yang paling banyak digunakan adalah obat kombinasi Pct, GG, Ephedrin, Ctm yaitu sebesar 61,5%, ketepatan dosis dengan dosis tepat 93,1% , dosis kurang 5,4% dan dosis lebih 1,5%, ketepatan peresepan obat common cold 100% dan faringitis 100%, serta lama pemberian obat 3 hari 70% dan 5 hari 30%. Kesimpulan : Penggunaan obat untuk pasien ISPA Non Pneumonia di Puskesmas Lais yang terbanyak diresepkan adalah obat kombinasi Pct, GG, Ephedrin, dan Ctm. Sebagian besar peresepan tepat dosis dan tepat lama pemberian obat. Sebagian besar keluhan pasien adalah batuk pilek dan peresepan obat sudah sesuai dengan penatalaksanaan pada ISPA Non Pneumonia.
