Meskipun penggunaan masker dapat mengurangi risiko penularan infeksi SARS-CoV-2, namun ternyata memiliki efek tertentu yang merugikan. Salah satu efek samping yang diperhatikan adalah pada kesehatan mulut pemakainya yakni mask mouth atau xerostomia atau yang biasa disebut dengan sindroma mulut kering. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan masker terhadap terjadinya mulut kering (dry mouth) di Rw 009, Kel. Sekip Jaya, Kec. Kemuning, Palembang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian cross-sectional yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2021. Sampel berjumlah 82 orang yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-Square dengan dengan derajat kemaknaan (α) = 0,05. Pada penggunaan masker terhadap terjadinya mulut kering didapatkan nilai p 1.00,dan lamanya penggunaan masker terhadap terjadinya mulut kering didapatkan nilai p 0.000. Berdasarkan nilai tersebut karena nilai p <0.05 menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh penggunaan masker terhadap terjadinya mulut kering (dry mouth). Namun ada pengaruh lamanya penggunaan masker terhadap terjadinya mulut kering (dry mouth). Umumnya sari kedelai merupakan salah satu hasil industri rumah tangga yang mudah terkontaminasi mikroba, yang dapat menghasilkan racun (toksin). Berdasarkan BPOM No HK.00.06.1.52.4011 bakteri Salmonella sp batas maksimum negatif/25ml dan untuk MPN Eschericia coli <3/ml pada sari kedelai. Penelitian ini bersifat survey yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui analisis bakteri patogen Eschericia coli dan Salmonella sp pada sari kedelai di Pasar Tradisional Kota Palembang Tahun 2016. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 8 sampel sari kedelai yang dijual di Pasar Tradisional Kota Palembang. Metode pemeriksaan yang digunakan adalah MPN dan isolasi. Hasil penelitian tentang keberadaan bakteri patogen dari 8 sampel sari kedelai (100%) tidak ditemukan cemaran bakteri Eschericia coli dan Salmonella sp . Sumber air pembuatan sari kedelai dan sanitasi tempat penjualan sari kedelai sudah relatif bersih dan baik sehingga tidak ditemukan cemaran bakteri Eschericia coli dan Salmonella sp Berdasarkan penelitian ini disarankan kepada pedagang dan konsumen untuk tetap menjaga kebersihan makanan yang akan dikonsumsi.
