Faktor lingkungan berhubungan dengan timbulnya ISPA terutama lingkungan kondisi fisik rumah. Faktor lingkungan fisik rumah yang dilakukan terjadinya ISPA antara lain pencahayaan, ventilasi, suhu, kelembaban, dan kepadatan hunian rumah. Tujuan Penelitian: Diketahuinya kondisi fisik rumah dan kejadian infeksi saluran pernapasan akut pada balita di wilayah kerja puskesmas 4 Ulu Kota Palembang tahun 2022. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Febuari s.d Mei 2022. Populasi penelitian ini rumah yang didalamnya terdapat balita yang berusia nol sampai dengan 5 tahun di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas 4 Ulu Kota Palembang. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 106 rumah adalah setiap rumah yang didalamnya terdapat balita berusia nol sampai dengan 5 tahun dengan rincian jumlah sample 42 rumah balita yang menderita infeksi saluran pernapasan dan 64 rumah balita yang bukan penderita saluran pernapasan akut. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu secara Simple Random Sampling. Hasil Penelitian: Dari hasil penelitian kejadian infeksi saluran pernapasan akut dari 106 sampel rumah penderita sebanyak 42 (39,6%) rumah balita yang menderita infeksi saluran pernapasan akut dan rumah bukan penderita sebanyak 64 (60,4%) balita yang menderita infeksi saluran pernapasan akut.Pencahayaan alami yang memenuhi syarat adalah 41 rumah (38,6%) dan tidak memenuhi syarat berjumlah 65 rumah (61,3%) Ventilasi yang memenuhi syarat adalah 26 rumah (24,3%) dan tidak memenuhi syarat sebanyak 80 rumah (74,8%) Suhu yang memenuhi syarat adalah berjumlah 27 rumah (25,5%) dan tidak memenuhi syarat berjumlah 79 rumah (74,5%) Kelembaban yang memenuhi syarat adalah berjumlah 25 rumah (23,6%) dan tidak memenuhi syarat berjumlah 81 rumah (76,4%) Kepadatan hunian yang memenuhi syarat adalah berjumlah 34 rumah(32,1%) dan tidak memenuhi syarat berjumlah 81 rumah (67,9%). Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kondisi fisik rumah yang tidak memenuhi syarat merupakan faktor risiko terhadap kejadian infeksi saluran pernapasan akut pada balita.
