Aktivitas fisik yang kurang disamping masukan makanan padat energi yang berlebihan, pergeseran pola makan tradisional ke pola makan barat terutama dalam bentuk yaitu jenis makanan yang tinggi energi, tinggi kolestrol, tinggi natrium namun rendah serat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan asupan zat gizi makro, frekuensi konsumsi dan aktifitas fisik dengan kejadian obesitas pada remaja di Palembang. Metode:Jenis penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan rancangan case control, Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Methodist 2 Palembang, sebanyak 60 orang yang terbagi sebagai sampel kasus dan control. Data diananlisis secara univariat dan bivariate dengan menggunakan uji statistik Chi Square dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95 %. Hasil:Asupan Energi, Lemak, Karbohidirat, konsumsi dan aktifitas fisik berhubungan dengan kejadian obesitas, dengan p value < 0,05, kecuali asupan Protein p value > 0,05. Kesimpulan:Asupan gizi makro yang berlebih dan keseringan mengkonsumsi serta kurangnya beraktifitas fisik dapat menyebabkan seseorang menjadi obesitas.
