Aterosklerosis memiliki beberapa karakteristik salah satunya infamasi.Salah satu pemeriksaan yang digunakan sebagai indikator inflamasi adalah pemeriksaan laju endap darah.Tujuan penelitian :Mengetahui gambaran LED pada pasien stroke di Rumah Sakit Islam Siti Khadijah Palembang tahun 2019. Metode penelitian : penelitian dilakukan secara deskriptif, dilaksanakan pada bulan februari-mei 2020 di RSI siti khadijah Palembang. Sampel darah vena dari 30 penderita stroke iskemik.Hasil penelitian : gambaran LED pada penderita stroke iskemik didapatkan, kategori normal sebesar 6,7% dan kategori tinggi sebesar 93,3%. Gambaran LED berdasarkan kriteria usia tidak berisiko, kategori normal sebesar 20% dan kategori tinggi sebesar 80%. Berdasarkan kriteria usia berisiko kategori normal sebesar 4% dan kategori tinggi sebesar 96%. Gambaran LED berdasarkan kriteria jenis kelamin laki-laki kategori normal sebesar 6,25% dan kategori tinggi 93,75%. Berdasarkan kriteria jenis kelamin perempuan kategori normal sebesar 7,14% dan kategori tinggi sebesar 92,86%. Kesimpulan :LED penderita stroke iskemik pada umumnya terjadi peningkatan baik berdasarkan kriteria berisiko (96%) dan jenis kelamin laki-laki maupun perempuan rerata LED penderita stroke iskemik tinggi (93,3%). Saran : kepada masyarakat khususnya penderita stroke iskemik sebaiknya rutin melakukan pemeriksaan LED.
