Lansia merupakan kelompok rentan mengalami gejala yang lebih berat jika terinfeksi covid-19, mereka perlu disiapkan untuk tetap bertahan pada kondisi kesehatan yang optimal. Tujuan: Studi ini mengeksplorasi persepsi dan kesiapan lansia dalam menerima vaksin covid-19. Metode: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan bulan Januari sampai dengan Maret 2021 di lima posyandu lansia di Kota Palembang dengan desain fenomenogi deskriptif, lansia dipilih dengan menggunakan tehnik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan pertanyaan terbuka dan catatan lapangan. Pedoman Wawancara disiapkan berdasarkan tujuan, selanjutnya data tersebut di transipkan dan di analisis dengan metode Colaizzi. Hasil: Penelitian menghasilkan delapan tema yaitu tidak percaya dengan covid-19; vaksin Covid-19 tidak ada gunanya; vaksin melindungi dari Covid-19; makin banyak yang meninggal setelah divaksin; takut terhadap metode memasukan vaksin melalui suntikan; Dukungan keluarga dan teman-teman; mencari berita tentang vaksin; ada penyakit bawaan. Persepsi lansia terhadap vaksin dipengaruhi oleh informasi yang dierima dari media dan lingkungan dan ini mempengruhi penerimaan terhadap program vaksin. Saran: Disarankan pemerintah mencanangkan program untuk memberikan informasi secara masiv kepada masyarakat tentang urgensi vaksin Covid-19. Studi ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua lanjut usia yang tinggal di Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Teratai Palembang Tahun 2012 dengan sampel penelitian diambil secara non probability sampling. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lanjut usia dengan fungsi kognitif normal sebanyai 45,3%, penurunan fungsi kognitif sedang sebanyak 24,5% dan yang mengalami penurunan fungsi kognitif berat sebanyak 30,2%. Penurunan fungsi kognitif yang banyak terjadi pada lanjut usia perlu disikapi lebih lanjut dengan meneliti faktor risiko dan mengembangkan aktivitas lanjut usia yang dapat mencegah terjadinya penurunan fungsi kognitif. However, not all individuals have the ability to constructively adapt to a change so that it can ultimately cause mental disorders. Exploration of the family burden as a support system for the patients is very important because of the high dependence of the patients to their family in dealing with the disease. Even thoughit is also a responsibility for the family members to be concernedof the patients condition. This study aims to explore the burdenof a family in caring for a family member who is mentally disturbed. A phenomenological approach was applied in this qualitative research. In-depth interviews were concluded after obtaining data saturation. Data saturation was acquired after interviewing 5 families of patients. Data analysis conducted using the Collaizi method which resulted in four themes, namely: The burden experienced since the beginning of patients‘caring, raging emotions as n negative yet hidden impact of caring, the economic problems due to costs needed to treat the patients and the feeling of failure in caring which disrupt the treatment progress. It was concluded that treating mentally disordered patients could also burden the families, notably the psychology aspect. Therefore the cooperation of the family is a crucial matter to provide in caring for the sufferers.
