Palembang in 2022. Diploma III Nursing Program, Advisor(I):Sumitro Adi
Putra, S.Kep, Ns, M.Kes. Advisor (II): Eva Susanti, S.Kep, Ns, M.Kes
Background: Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease characterized by
hyperglycemia that occurs because the pancreas is unable to secrete insulin,
impaired insulin action, or both. People with diabetes mellitus will usually
experience weight loss caused by glucose levels in the blood that cannot enter the
body's cells, so that the cells lack fuel to produce energy, so energy has to be
taken from other reserves, namely fat and protein.
Methods: The design of this study used a descriptive method with case study
exposure through a nursing implementation approach in diabetes mellitus patients
with nutritional deficit problems.
Results: Based on the results of research conducted on both patients for 5 days to
overcome nutritional deficits, it was found that there was an increase in appetite
and decreased nausea and vomiting and after being given education about the DM
diet, both patients were able to know how to do the correct DM diet.
Conclusion: The results of the study illustrate the need for intervention in
nutritional deficits in patients with diabetes mellitus to achieve weight loss.

Background : Bronchial asthma is an inflammatory process in the respiratory
tract that results in a complete narrowing of the airways with typical symptoms of
shortness of breath, chest tightness and coughing whose intensity varies from time
to time, as well as limited respiratory airflow.
Purpose : The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to get an overview of the
implementation of nursing in bronchial asthma patients with ineffective airway
clearance problems at Bhayangkara Hospital Palembang. The implementation of
nursing that can be done on the problem of ineffective airway clearance is by
monitoring breathing patterns, breath sounds and sputum, adjusting the semiFowler position, practicing effective coughing and providing health education
about effective coughing techniques and their benefits.
Subjects : The case study subjects studied were two patients with bronchial
asthma with the same nursing problem, namely the problem of ineffective airway
clearance.
Research Method : The design of this study used a descriptive analytic method
with case study exposure through a nursing implementation approach in bronchial
asthma patients.
Result : The results showed that the implementation of bronchial asthma nursing
with ineffective airway clearance problems given to patients was able to overcome
shortness of breath and reduce sputum in the patient's airway. It is recommended
that the nursing implementation be carried out on a scheduled basis for bronchial
asthma patients in the inpatient room.

Sp.Kep.Mat.
Background: Post Sectio caesarea mothers feel postoperative pain due to the
disconnection of tissues, blood vessels, and nerves around the incision which can
cause pain. One way to control pain with non-pharmacological methods is murattal
therapy. The purpose of this study was to reduce pain in post-SC patients.
Method:The design of this research is descriptive in the form of a case study with a
nursing process approach consisting of assessment, diagnosis, planning,
implementation, evaluation and documentation. This case study focuses on the
implementation of post-SC pain through pain observation, giving murattal therapy.
The subjects studied were 2 people with the same nursing problem, namely acute pain
post SC patients in the Siti Walidah Room, Muhammadiyah Hospital Palembang.
Results:After the implementation of nursing, the results of murattal therapy helped
reduce post SC pain with a pain reduction response to a scale of 3.
Conclusion:It is hoped that murattal therapy can be applied to post SC patients with
acute pain and can be further developed and become a lesson for further research.
