Description An account of the resource Gangguan kesehatan yang dialami pekerja akibat terpapar herbisida paraquat merupakan endpoint, gangguan kesehatan tersebut bersifat akut, subkronik dan kronik. Beberapa gangguan kesehatan yang sering dialami pekerja di perkebunan sawit berupa gejala-gejala diantaranya mata merah, batuk, nyeri otot, kesemutan, kulit gatal dan terasa panas, kram dan kelemahan otot. Namun gejala – gejala tersebut dalam jangka waktu yang lama dapat menyebabkan fibrosis paru dan penyakit Parkinson. Oleh karena itu untuk mencegah berkembangnya gejala tersebut menjadi penyakit akibat paparan paraquat perlu dilakukan upaya pencegahan melalui skrining terhadap gejala-gejala awal yang dialami pekerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidetifikasi gejala-gejala penyakit akibat paparan paraquat. Penelitian ini adalah deskriptif eksploratif dengan desain studi cross sectional. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara menggunakan kuesioner dan analisis data secara univariat disajikan dalam bentuk tabel dan grafik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gejalagejala akibat paparan paraquat yang dialami pekerja, secara berurutan yaitu kulit gatal dan terasa panas (61,7%), nyeri otot (61,7%) mata merah (58,3%), kesemutan (56,7%), batuk (53,3%), kram otot (48,3%), kelemahan otot (23,3%). Hal ini disebabkan oleh lama penyemprotan, paparan pernapasan, paparan gastro intestinal, penggunaan alat pelindung diri dan dekontaminasi setelah paparan paraquat. Penelitian ini memberikan informasi penting mengenai efek kesehatan berupa gejala awal akibat paparan pekerja dengan paraquat terutama saat melakukan aplikasi penyemprotan. Beberapa gejala tersebut yaitu kulit gatal/terasa panas, nyeri otot, mata merah, kesemutan, batuk, kram otot dan kelemahan otot. Oleh karena itu upaya pencegahan amat penting dilakukan diantaranya dengan cara peningkatan gizi pekerja, pengaturan waktu kerja, penggunaan alat pelindung diri secara lengkap dan penyediaan ruang khusus untuk dekontaminasi setelah terpapar hebisida paraquat.
